The A&F Challenge Raises Over $3M to Benefit SeriousFun!

Part fundraiser, part festival, The A&F Challenge, benefitting SeriousFun Children's Network, was held earlier this month at Abercrombie's headquarters in New Albany, OH. With over 4,000 people in attendance, the A&F Challenge is the company's largest philanthropic event of the year—and has become the largest SeriousFun fundraiser in the world!

The unique, camp-themed event kicked off with the annual 5K run/walk for adults, and a fun run for kids and families. From there, it’s on to food, drink, music and fun!

Before the crowd-pleasing performances by The Strumbellas and Bastille took place on the main stage,  Fran Horowitz, president and chief executive officer of Abercrombie & Fitch Co., Blake Maher, CEO of SeriousFun, and Clea Newman, SeriousFun Ambassador and daughter of actor, philanthropist and SeriousFun founder Paul Newman, spoke about the importance of camp and this unique partnership.

Attendees who were interested in learning more about SeriousFun could do so by visiting the "Support Camp" tent, right across from the main stage. Inside the tent, on prominent display, were camp shirts designed and donated by Abercrombie & Fitch.  As part of Abercrombie’s $15 million dollar, 5-year commitment, Abercrombie outfits all of SeriousFun's campers, staff & volunteers around the world with t-shirts47,000 to be exact.

In addition to raising money and awareness at the event, guests enjoyed participating in a variety of camp-inspired activities like archery, ziplining, and arts and crafts.

Thank you to the team at Abercrombie & Fitch for hosting this awesome event and for being such generous and creative partners!
